The Austin Catholic Community serves the diverse Catholic population and larger faith community of Austin, Minnesota. A part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Winona, the Austin Catholic Community is home to three parishes: Queen of Angels, Saint Augustine and Saint Edward. The Catholic Community is also home to the pre-K — 12 Pacelli Catholic Schools and Calvary Cemetery.

On January 20th, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) made a decision on the request of religious groups in America for a wider conscience protection clause in new health care mandates. Cardinal-designate Timothy Dolan of New York (Archbishop of New York and President of the USCCB) comments on the HHS Conscience Regulation decision.
