The Goals of Youth Ministry

• To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.
• To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.
• To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Austin Catholic Youth Ministry

Youth of middle school and high school age are welcome to join in all the youth ministry activities. All activities are planned with "Renewing the Vision" standards in mind and follow the suggested guidelines of the Winona Diocese. There are chaperones at all activities and permission forms are necessary for any activity involving travel or overnight activity.

Parental Involvement

The Church recognizes the supreme responsibility of parents as the first and foremost teachers of their children in matters of faith. Your example, prayer life and participation in the weekly Sunday liturgy and other sacraments speak volumes to your children. There are many ways to be formally involved in the faith formation program. Parents are needed as catechists, assistants, chaperones and childcare. Please contact the office if you are interested.
